DO YOU FAVOR PROPERTY RIGHTS? DO YOU WANT TO PROTECT YOUR HOME?
Ownership of private property—your home—is under attack in Pennsylvania and throughout the United States. Broadening eminent domain to confiscate a private citizen’s property to award it to another private citizen has been approved by the five most liberal members of the United States Supreme Court. And, in Pennsylvania ever-increasing and often incorrect real estate taxes cause an estimated 30,000 homeowners or more to lose their properties every year to sheriff sale. These homes are often purchased through bidding at sheriff sales, by rental companies and other real estate speculators.
The STOP Primary Residence Protection Plan would halt the excessive property tax portion of this vicious government assault on individual homeowners.
When enacted, the STOP Plan means:
- ** NO school, county or municipal property taxes on primary residences.
- ** NO further intrusions into private homes by government assessors.
- ** NO more incorrect assessments and reassessments.
- ** NO more assessment appeal hearings and related costs.
- ** NO more sheriff sales of primary residences for delinquent taxes.
- ** NO more government theft of tens of thousands of dollars in home equity--far beyond the evicted homeowner’s alleged ‘debt to society.’
- ** NO more disruption of the lives of tens of thousands of our citizens every year, including elderly, disabled, children, young couples, single parents, veterans and others whose income cannot keep up with the ever-increasing property tax burden.
All property tax reduction plans will perpetuate the current assessment\ reassessment\harassment system. Temporary property tax REDUCTION legislation is a fraud that will lead to homeowners paying increased income or sales taxes AND eventually, higher property taxes as well. These plans are only a gimmick to fool the public.
By the time the homeowners get a few hundred dollar reduction, the school board, and county and\or municipal government will likely raise your property taxes, or the county will increase your assessment and you will have no real property tax relief at all. Don’t be conned by such political chicanery.
Tell your state Senator and Representative you want ALL PROPERTY TAXES ABOLISHED ON YOUR PRIMARY RESIDENCE. IF YOUR LEGISLATORS ACTIVELY SUPPORT THE ABOLISHMENT OF ALL PROPERTY TAXES ON YOUR HOME, LET THEM KNOW YOU WILL SUPPORT THEM IN FUTURE ELECTIONS AND ENCOURAGE FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO DO THE SAME.
However, if your state Senator or Representative ignores you and votes for property tax REDUCTION legislation or supports any plan that only addresses the school tax while leaving the assessment\reassessment and county and municipal property taxes in place...TELL THEM YOU WILL NOT VOTE FOR THEIR RE-ELECTION IN THE NEXT PRIMARY AND GENERAL ELECTION WHEN THEY ARE UP FOR RE-ELECTION. AND ACTIVELY WORK FOR THEIR DEFEAT.

I am not an insurance representative; therefore, a conflict of interest does not exist. The data below is based on quoted Auto policies for two vehicles, two drivers, and all other varibles being the same. I compared apples with apples.

- Thank you Chrissy Miller, hopefully you were able to save on your Auto Insurance. During the next several months, I will be providing a variety of cost saving examples, directed at products and services that are necessities. There is something wrong with the system, when certain companies charge twice as much for a service. Universal Health Care, it is time to take away the profits from private industry, and provide families with health care. I would appreciate some feedback from the 118,000 S.T.O.P. Supporters.
