The House that Wasn't Built

The House That Governor Rendell, Pennsylvania Representatives and Senators Prevented From Being Built.

Please ask Governor Ed Rendell, and your PA State Senator and Representative what role they played in:

· The House That Wasn't Built.
· The Mortgage That Wasn't Sold
· The Builder Who Wasn't Hired.
· The Building Materials---lumber, nails, trusses, concrete block and redi-mix, toilets, tubs, etc. --- That Weren't Sold.
· The Carpenters, Plumbers, Electricians, Roofers, Masons, Landscapers, Painters and Other Workers Who Weren't Hired.
· The Windows and Doors That Weren't Manufactured, Sold, and Installed.
· The Kitchen Cabinets That Weren't Manufactured, Sold, and Installed.

Why was the House That Wasn't Built, Not Built? The man told S.T.O.P. (Stop Taxing Our Properties) he could afford to build it, but couldn't afford the property taxes after it was built.

The man is from Coraopolis, Allegheny County. He owns land in Armstrong County and had intended to build there. But, now he won't. All the economic activity that construction of his new home would have created..is lost.

We believe this is just one example of pent up economic activity that would blossom in every county and community if all property taxes on homesteads\farmsteads were abolished. Not only would new homes be built, but existing homes would be purchased and remodeled since there would be no fear of property tax increases. Tens of thousands of jobs would be created.

Thanks to the inactivity of Governor Ed Rendell, and your State Senators and Representatives on Senate Bills 717 and 718; and House Bills 1572 and 1573 Pennsylvania is losing thousands of jobs and millions and millions of dollars of private sector economic growth.

Gerry says :
STOP

The state of PA would have great growth if the ineffective legislators would step up to the plate and serve the people who elected them. After Allegheny CO threw out the last $40 Million reassessment one official said now the county would grow because Allegheny Co could compete with surrounding counties that weren't facing increasing property taxes. So they know there is a problem but do nothing to fix it.
Keep up the good work and hopefully enough people will keep after the legislators to do the job they were elected to do.
New motto for PA representatives (unless they are backing a plan to eliminate property taxes) IF YOU ARE IN OFFICE YOU'RE OUT!
