TIMING IS EVERYTHING!

TO: S.T.O.P. PRIMARY RESIDENCE PROTECTION PLAN SUPPORTERS
FROM: BOB LOGUE:
SUBJECT: TIMING IS EVERYTHING!

Timing is everything in getting legislation enacted. Perhaps our time is now. Anger at the legislators may well be at an all-time high. The pay raises of 16 to 34% they gave themselves have created an uproar among Pennsylvania people that is long overdue. All of the PA Representatives, half the PA Senators and Governor Ed Rendell face re-election in the Spring 2006 Primary Election. Can the sheeple of Pennsylvania sustain their anger until then?

Just rescinding the pay raises…if the legislators do that…or just saying they will not accept the increases may not be enough to turn the public from being outraged citizens back into the sheeple who kept re-electing their legislators whether they deserve it or not.

I suggest that S.T.O.P. supporters let their legislators know that the most effective and meaningful thing the legislators and governor can do to demonstrate they care about the taxpayers and voters of Pennsylvania is to enact TRUE property tax reform via the S.T.O.P. legislation.

First, they’ve been promising property tax reform as their top priority and have delivered nothing of any consequence.

Second, the citizens have expressed their outrage over property taxes on their homes for years and are tired waiting for the legislator’s promises to be fulfilled.

Third, 113,763 citizens have signed petitions—representing more than a million of their fellow citizens---demanding total abolishment of all property taxes on primary residences.

Fourth, enactment of the S.T.O.P. Emergency Constitutional Amendment legislation---Senate Bill 718---about to be re-introduced by Senator Sean Logan—comes with no political risk whatsoever for the legislators. All we are asking is for the legislators to place our Emergency amendment on the ballot so the public can decide whether or not they favor abolishment of all property taxes on primary residences.

We encourage citizens to let their legislators know how important the STOP plan is to your attitude toward your legislators. Let them know you vote and will remember their action, or inaction on this plan in the Spring Primary.

And let them know they have nothing to lose, and everything to gain in putting our STOP Emergency Amendment on the ballot next spring….the same election during which many of them will be running for reelection. Why do we have to even write our comments to the leaders of our state. They ALL know our feelings about any taxes.

I for one will vote all my incumbents OUT. Too bad the good has to go with bad. That's life.

A lot of people lose their jobs, --then they go get other jobs- maybe even change careers- even if they are over 50 yrs. old. That is LIFE as we know it in the yr of 2005.

Legislators- I say get your resames in order.

A very Very angry senior VOTER.

I became aware of S.T.O.P. and www.grandoldusa.com during November 2005. Yes, I represent the Ordinary Joe. One conclusion can be made. Voters that support the S.T.O.P. program will not vote to re-elect Governor Rendell. The S.T.O.P. petition has been signed by 100,000 people. The focus needs to be one million signatures. Complete abolishment of the property tax will occur once the voter is educated. I will start by delivering 50 leaflets that focus the voter on visiting www.grandoldusa.com.

A large contingent of people from Armstrong County were told on 4/1/06, by Rep. Jeff Pyle, that the bill has no chance because the people from Philly will vote it down. Why can Philly, and the Rendell Raiders tell us not to own our homes?
