THERE ONCE WAS A CITIZEN NAMED APATHY
WHO REGULARY FACED A REAL TRAGEDY
HE MOANED AND COMPLAINED HIS BUDGET WAS STRAINED
AND HIS PROPERTY TAXES A CATASTROPHE.

THE STOP PLAN DEVISED WAS A GODSEND
TO CAUSE HOMESTEAD TAXES TO ALL END.
APATHY'S NIGHTMARE WOULD CEASE HE COULD NOW LIVE IN PEACE
HE'D NEVER FEAR LOSING HIS HOME AGAIN.

BUT APATHY LIVED UP TO HIS NAME
DID NOTHING BUT MOAN AND COMPLAIN
NEVER LIFTED A HAND TO HELP THE STOP PLAN
BE ENACTED TO LESSEN HIS PAIN.

DEAR APATHY, OUR SHEEPLE FRIEND
FEAR OF SHERIFF SALES WILL NOT END
LEGISLATORS REVERE YOU BECAUSE THEY CAN SHEAR YOU
AND YOU'LL RE-ELECT THEM AGAIN.

WHEN APATHY'S HOME TAXES GO UP
AND HE WHIMPERS LIKE A TERRIFIED PUP
TO HIM KINDLY OBSERVE, "WHAT YOU GET YOU DESERVE"
CITIZEN APATHY PIPE DOWN...AND PAY UP.

Hi Dave, Relax! The incumbents really do not have to worry. I believe the 117,000 signatures are bogus. More people would be commenting on this site, if 117,000 people signed the petition. I guess Joe is the only person who got hit with a high tax increase the past two years. Ed Rendell will win by a landslide in November.

George: When good men (or women) "relax" in the face of lies and misdeeds of their elected officials, there is little hope left for the commonwealth or the country. I am glad our founding fathers held not this attitude when dealing with England.

Would you tell someone to "relax" if an armed robber broke into their house?

George, the number of signatures are absolutely accurate, and the signed hard-copy petitions have been shared with state Senators and Reps in the past.
